01Generate

Know the price before you generate.

Type a prompt, pick a model, and the cost in credits is on the Generate button before you press it. Change the model, the length or the resolution and it changes with you.

  • A curated list of image and video models from Google, OpenAI, Black Forest Labs, ByteDance, Kling, Alibaba and others.
  • A generation that fails or is refused costs nothing.

02Compare

One prompt. Many models. Side by side.

Pick two or more models and run the same prompt through all of them. The results fill a contact sheet where you rate, favourite and keep the ones that work.

  • Each result shows its model and what it cost.
  • Video results play in step.
  • A model that fails can be retried by itself.

03Edit

Change only what you mark.

Draw a box around what should change and say what you want there. Everything outside the box is copied from your original, pixel for pixel.

  • The edit happens on the image you are looking at, and the result takes its place.
  • The original stays in your library, linked to the edit.

04Animate

Stills that start moving.

Open an image, press Animate and say what should happen. The image waits in place and then plays as a clip.

  • Continue a clip from its last frame to make a longer one.
  • Pull the first or last frame out of any clip as a still.

05Sound

Add sound to any clip.

Open a clip and press Add Sound. A model watches it and makes the sound for what happens: footsteps, gear, wind, a crowd, or a score timed to its cuts. The clip stays in view while it works, and comes back with its sound.

  • Multiple models for sound effects and music, each with its price shown before it runs.
  • Or lay any sound from your library under a clip, on your Mac, for free.

06Audio

Voices, music, any sound.

Switch the prompt bar to sound and choose Voice, Music or Sound Effect. Every result lands in your library with its prompt and cost, beside your images and clips.

  • Voices that act out cues like a whisper or a pause, scenes for several speakers, and natural voices in multiple languages.
  • Songs sung to your own lyrics, instrumentals and scores, and effects from a door creak to rain on a roof.

07References

One product. Any scene.

Save a character, a product, a brand mark, a location or a style once. Attach it to a prompt by name, and the model is told what each reference is for.

  • Keep a reference for one project or for your whole library.
  • A reference can hold several images of the same subject.

08Tools

More to do with every result.

Every tool shows its model and its price in credits before it runs.

Cut Out

Lift a subject off its background, automatically or by describing what to keep.

Improve Prompt with AI

Turn a rough line into a full prompt, with Undo if you preferred your own.

Upscale

Make an image larger and sharper.

Shot Set

Re-shoot one image from other camera angles.

Variation

Several takes on an image you like, as close or as bold as you ask.

Analyze

A review of a result that lists what is wrong and proposes a fix.

Clean Up

Take background noise and room echo out of a recorded voice.

Split into Parts

Vocals, drums, bass, guitar, piano and the rest of a song, each a sound of its own.

Pull Out

Describe one sound, such as a dog barking, and get it alone and everything else without it.

Extend

Carry music or an effect on past its end or before its start, keeping its key and space.

09Organise

Every prompt and version, documented.

Your library is a folder on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded to be stored: back the folder up, move it, or open it in Finder.

  • Each image and clip keeps its prompt, model, settings, references and cost.
  • Projects, ratings, favourites and status, with search across prompts and models.
  • Files from Midjourney, ComfyUI and Automatic1111 come in with the prompts saved inside them.

10Costs

See where every credit went.

A cost report by day, by model and by project, with a spreadsheet export for quoting and invoicing.

  • Every item shows what it cost, in its details.
  • Improving a prompt and analysing a result are counted too.

Questions

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Sign in with your email in the app and you get 14 days of everything, with 50 credits to generate with: about 50 draft images, or a short video clip. No card is needed, and nothing is charged when the trial ends; generating simply stops until you buy. You can buy credits during the trial, and buying the licence early starts your year from the day you pay. Organising your library is free, trial or not.

How does the yearly licence work?

The licence is $59 a year, or $6 a month, and renews automatically. You can turn renewal off at any time in Settings → Account; the licence then runs to the end of the year or month you paid for. A year's payment adds 120 credits and each month's adds 10.

What happens if my licence ends?

Your library and everything in it stay on your Mac, and the app still opens, searches and organises them. Generating stops, and credits you bought wait for you: they do not expire, and can be spent again when the licence is renewed.

Where are my files kept?

In a folder you choose on your Mac, as ordinary image and video files. Prompts and reference images are sent to the model provider when you generate; your library is not uploaded.

What can it make besides images and video?

Voices, in multiple languages; music, including songs sung to your own lyrics; sound effects; and the sound for a clip, made by a model that watches it. Sounds can be cleaned up, split into parts and extended, and laid under any clip.

What if a generation fails?

You are not charged. Credits are set aside when a job starts and only taken when it finishes with a result.

Can I get a refund?

The 14-day free trial is there so you can be sure before paying, so payments are not normally refunded. If something has gone wrong, write to support@chitra.studio from your account's email address and we will look at it. Credits charged in error are always returned. See the refund terms.

Which Macs does it run on?

A Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or newer) and macOS 15 or later. Intel Macs are not supported by this download. One licence covers every Mac you sign in on.
